This week we got to choose a writing task and do 20 minutes of it each day I choose to do a narrative that I keep writing over the weeks left at  St Mary's My L.I is to use complex sentences to add impact to my writing which I  think have achieved well here is an example Joe reached over the side of the chair though the chair started wobbling he kept at it finally grabbing the remote.

On October 30th Peru Enviroment agency found over 10,000 frogs dead, the titacaca frog is an endangered species that is only found in Peru and Bolivia the cause is most likely to be because of the sewage plant.

Maths Hub Reflection

I have just learnt how to Find fractions of whole number amounts using x and ÷
eg In The RainForest. 2 fifths of 125$ = 50$ - First find 1 fifth 125 ÷ 5 = 25 is 1/5 because we want to get 2/5s I would double it or 25 x 2 so 2/5 of 125 = 50 

Titanic Key Sold For $144,000

                        Titanic Key sold for $144,000

A key from the long lost titanic has sold for $144,000. The Key belonged to Sydney Sedunary who died on the titanic. The was expected to get up to around $50,000 when the key sold nearly three times that amount. The key was at auction with 200 items for the titanic.

Ordering fractions

I have just learnt how to order fractions in a cave by myself i found it easy because of the quiet environment i was in and that everyone was respecting that we were all learning. here is an example 3/4 or 7/8 7/8 because 3/4 is also equal to 6/8 and 7/8 is larger.

KIwi kids news - upside down cafe

A new cafe in Germany topples cafe near Frankfurt is upside down the cafe is designed to look like a family home that is upside down but nothing is in place the sink toilet and bath a twisty and unique you will even get coffee in an odd mug. the kitchen has tables and chairs upside down to fit the theme.

Hooked On Danger

Pua cast his line from his dinghy and it snagged straight away. Uncle tried to help him reel it in but it wouldn’t budge. Suddenly the skies turned grey, the sea  got choppy and a giant pirate ship bubbled up from the depths of the ocean dwarfing uncles dinghy.

The Massive Mossy wrecked merchant lay on the stormy sea’s abandoned. “Shall we board uncle” BOOM a small cannonball soared past our dinghy uncle let’s go the dinghy roared into gear another cannonball launched suddenly our boat stopped and we were going the other way towards the ship “Help” we screamed but it was no use seconds later a small ovalular porthole opened and me and uncle we were dragged onto the huge vessel. I was scared to death but no one came or seemed to be on the ship. Uncle suggested we go up to the decks but I fainted in fright I woke up to find myself in a cabin in a bed the room had a bookshelf a desk loads of maps and crystal seated in the centre of the desk after exploring the cabin I wandered out on the decks to see uncle driving and the village was in sight

Improper Fractions

This is an Improper Fraction I learnt this  from cutting up fractions and putting them into wholes not pieces  eg 9/4 - nine quarters if the denominator is bigger this is called a improper  fraction lets convert it into a mixed fraction so there's three wholes and there's 1/4 left.

In Waterline I learnt that we had probably cleaned our teeth this morning with water that was possibly once drunk by a dinosaur I also found interesting that most towns get their water supply from streams I also learnt the water cycle.

Recently We have been learning about the sacrament of healing which comes under the anointing of the sick which is if you are sick and want to be healed by God we are also learning about penance which is reconciliation and that is if you have done something wrong and want to be forgiven by God.

Recently in writing we have been learning about descriptive language which is present tense here is an example of past and present tense past tense - i have been to the shops present tense - i am going to the shops. here is an example of some of descriptive writing.
                       

                                               

I am sitting relaxed in my warm cosy damp tent i am drinking smooth luscious tea hard to believe it came out of a teabag i thought, I am feeling the freezing fierce wind it was attacking me like an out of control fire my nose picks up of damp musty sort of scent Everest sits there like a kid that never listened or had input in class.
